Global Handwashing Day 2010!

The first-ever Global Handwashing Day will take place on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. The UN General Assembly has designated 2008 the International Year of Sanitation, and Global Handwashing Day will echo and reinforce its call for improved hygiene practices. Global Handwashing Day will be the centerpiece of a week of activities that will mobilize millions of people in more than 20 countries across five continents to wash their hands with soap.

8th Edition of the Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon

The Nairobi Marathon has become the signature annual sports event that brings together runners and supporters from all over the country as well as foreign participants to Nairobi, the beautiful capital city of Kenya and home of the greatest distance runners in the world..

This year's event still incorporates some changes whose success was evident in the 2009 Marathon which include:

• a onestop registration which makes the process user friendly
• use of latest technology in registration and certificate issuance
